Youth in Care Canada is concerned about the impact COVID-19 is having on youth in and from care across Canada. For this reason, we are hosting a virtual town hall meeting on May 26th at 2pm EST to provide a platform for youth in and from care across Canada to share their experiences, concerns, and questions with Federal, Provincial, Territorial and Indigenous politicians and leaders.
We are asking you to share the attached poster with the young people you work with and/or represent. We are also asking the youth in care networks and other agencies that work directly with youth in care to register as an agency, register the young people you work with and come up with 1 or two questions or comments the young people would like to present to the government. We are asking this, due the anticipated large number of youth that will attend. Unfortunately, not every young person will be able to speak due to time constraints but we want to ensure all young peoples voices are heard.
