Active Offer

Services will be provided in French upon request.

The General Authority and its Board of Directors support the concept of "active offer," as developed by the provincial government of Manitoba. Consequently, anyone communicating with the office can receive services in French.

Regulation 199/255 under *The Child and Family Services Authorities Act* requires all child and family services authorities and the agencies under their jurisdiction to submit an annual French-language service implementation plan. The General Child and Family Services Authority has prepared a French-language service implementation plan that meets the expectations set out in the Regulation. The plan establishes specific objectives for each of the following areas: active offer, training, governance and coordination, progress reporting, and community partnership agreements. The General Authority’s French-language service implementation plan has been approved by the Board of Directors and Santé en français (Manitoba). The General Authority’s offices and regional branches that provide services in French within designated regions incorporate plans for French-language service delivery into their annual service plans.
