We are very pleased to share with you an exciting education and career development opportunity for youth launching this spring!
In partnership with the General Authority, the Futures Forward Youth on Campus Experience aims to grow interest and readiness for high school students, currently in the care of a GA agency, to pursue post-secondary studies. With each full day event, youth will have the opportunity to explore a post-secondary campus, hear from current students and faculty regarding programs offered and what to expect as a post-secondary student, connect with programs of interest (and participate in classroom activities where applicable), and learn more about education and career planning supports available to youth in and from care.
Campus events being held this spring include:
Manitoba Institute of Trades & Technology campus experience – Friday, May 3rd, 2024
The University of Winnipeg campus experience – Friday, May 10th, 2024
Please see the attached posters for additional information, and a tentative agenda for each day. There is no cost to attend. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
