From the Children’s Aid Foundation– The Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada post-secondary scholarships will award youth $5000 for each academic year of their program they attend until they finish, to a maximum of 7 years. This means that youth may take academic breaks, putting their scholarships on hold, without having to reapply each year. Scholarships will be renewed annually through emailed online check-in surveys.

The CAF has also expanded the eligibility criteria to encompass youth who have been or will be in the temporary or permanent care of the ministry or department responsible for child protection services up until their age of majority birthday and still includes youth who have been in permanent care for at least 12 months. As a pilot project we will also be accepting applications from youth over the age of 30 who have not received Foundation scholarship support in the past.

The Foundation Scholarship application is open now, here, until January 24th for youth, either currently receiving a Foundation bursary or new to Foundation support, who will be attending full time studies in the 2024-25 academic year.
