We are pleased to share that the 2025-2026 Youth in Care Tuition Waiver application cycle is NOW OPEN! Applications are due March 31, 2025!
Tuition Waivers are bursaries open to current and former youth in Manitoba Child and Family Services (CFS) care, offered by 10 participating universities and colleges in Manitoba. In partnership with the Government of Manitoba, and the Futures Forward program.
Recipients may receive coverage up to the full cost and length of their degree, plus a living allowance.
No age cap to apply! Open to both current and prospective university/college students with care experience.
To apply for a Tuition Waiver, a student must:
1. Be a current or former youth in Manitoba CFS care
2. Have completed an application to a participating post-secondary school (see list of participating universities & colleges)
3. Submit a complete Tuition Waiver application by the March 31st, 2025 deadline
Futures Forward offers support to youth with care experience to navigate the post-secondary application process, find funding, and apply for Tuition Waivers. One-on-one application support will be offered until March 21, 2025, in advance of the March 31st final submission deadline.
